The Lovebirds

You may be tempted to compare them to the Indigo Girls, but this folk/pop duo is more closely related in style to other duos such as The Weepies of She & Him. The Lovebirds recently opened for national touring act Raining Jane (featuring special guest Jason Mraz), and they were selected as one of the Official Showcase performing acts at 2011's FAR West Folk Conference in Eugene, OR. The Lovebirds music has been featured on radio stations up the West Coast including San Diego's KPRI and Eugene's KLCC. They are currently producing their first album as a duo with Jeff Berkley of the talented folk duo Berkley Hart. Collectively, The Lovebirds make sweet harmonies. Individually, they make a difference. In 2011 Veronica was selected as a finalist for San Diego Magazine's Women Who Move the City event for her work as a board-certified Music Therapist and Glee Club Director at Clairemont High School, while Lindsay was recently selected as a finalist for San Diego Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business awards for her work as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Event Team in Southern California. Veronica & Lindsay are also the founding members of another 7 piece vintage-throwback band called The Forget Me Nots, which features 4-part female harmonies, guitar/harmonica, stir-the-soup drums and a thumpin' upright bass.
